Seven days trial is much to long.
But a trial period is a good idea indeed.
8hrs should do well.

Doubt that will ever happen in the store. Might be better to offer a free light version and a comprehensive pay version. Developers would lose money and incentive, and that may diminish development if they offered a free trial.
Not just trials but trials that reset the license every six months like DCS so we can re test the updates done to said plane and module. On top of that you could even rent planes or scenery. Marketplace has this capability already I think. They just aren’t using it.
