Steam
Did you submit this to Zendesk? If so, what is your ticket #?
No
I imagine you need to deselect it in your content manager
I went to my content manager.
I have the Nordics package. It says installed, owned and uptodate.
The only action I can do on it is deleting it.
What did you mean by deselecting it?
FYI, I have the other “world updates” installed and they never had this issue (wanting to update at each start of FS 2020)

I was thinking if it has a tick next to it then untick it but from what you say it sounds more complicated than that
Hi @wluc9875,
Do other options save since you have updated to that release? I’m curious if that folder may have become write-protected or antivirus is stopping a write to it.
Also, have you noticed if the files for the Nordic update are physically there after you have exited MSFS?
If you have the MS Store version in the default location, those files would be going to:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore
Also, the “content.xml” file should have references made to the Nordic points of interest and airports. That file should be here (MS Store - default install location):
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Hi @Hester40MT
Yes all my options (graphics, control, etc…) are kept.
I configured a custom folder where all my downloaded files get stored. Nordics is physically there, as well as all the other world updates, custom airports, etc…
My content.xml is in a different location from yours (I have the Steam version), but it references the nordics points of interest and specific airports.
Unless somebody has other places to check, I think I will open a bug ticket at Microsoft FS 2020 support.
One thing you can try quickly is to delete Content.xml and let the sim rebuild it. It may correct the layering of scenery.

I deleted Content.xml. It was rebuilt, but FS 2020 still wants to update Nordics at each start.
This is a very annoying bug.
