Exaggerated yellow/orange light hours from dusk & dawn

Hi

Yesterday I was flying in the area of Rio de janeiro with live weather. Local time was around 16:00PM. While the sun was still sitting about 35 degrees above the horizon, I noticed the “golden hour effect”.
Clouds consisted of a high top level layer (40k ft) and overcast till 9000ft. Every cloud layer does not only remove some light, it also makes it more yellow. I have tested this by climbing above the top layer clouds. Above these, the aircraft was nicely lit with white light, below them it had a yellowish tint. The lower i went, the more yellow it became. On ground level it looked like sunset colors while it clearly wasnt sunset yet!

Anyone else noticed this? Did a dusk approach at frankfurt 2 days ago and it seemed like the sky was on fire. Really the clouds made everything look dark orange, never seen this in my life in this area. The light attenuation by the clouds should be tweaked. Even on a cloudy afternoon with the sun 15 degrees above the horizon, everything is very orange-ish while usually the color temperature is rather cold irl.
