Excessive amount of trees (2024 trees are even more excessive than 2020)

The tree issue is a major problem for me, and its partially the users fault imo.
People were so obsessed with high quality trees, like its some kind of tree simulator, so tree, grass, and pebble quality became a selling point for 2024 along side with missions. Nevermind if the aircraft works or flies remotely realistic or the weather and ATC works.

So here we are with 2024 and we have high quality trees, grass, pebbles, rhinos, giraffes, displacement maps for your mud tire tracks in the fields - at the cost of overall performance. For your sim to render in theese high polycount high textured trees and grass with shadows, and muddy fields with displacement maps it will tank your fps, which wouldnt be a problem if MSobo would have done what we asked and let us control quality, density and draw distance of these objects.

But instead MSobo doubles down in their streamed console strategy “thin client” and merges even more settings so we have 0-to little control of those. So its our scenery photographers and MSobos vision of what is essentially “MS Flight 2” that is the cause of this, and I dont see how it will get any better.

Hopefully there will be a tree replacement mod in the future, that will free up a lot of performance for us all. But again, I dont have high hopes.

By the way, make sure to lower your tree settings below High unless you want to half your performance around forests.
