After the WU5 I have exclamation marks during startup on the info screens. All seems to be fine in the sim however … landing challenges, bush trips etc
I also did updates for everything that was updatable in the content manager
Anyone has any clue what this can be or how to sovle it? Other people that have the same issue?
Exclamation were there since several update. It just a way to say “Hey have a look at this”. Period. You can switch to something more important Problem solved.
Whoever thought these exclamation marks make any sense was wrong.
I always wonder who came up with this idea and what the thought process behind this might have been, but in this case I just can’t find anything. It’s just pointless.
Steve, the only thing I can suggest that when in the game check your general setting and make sure anything to do with data is turned on.
All I can think of mate.
I have this i believe since a long time, wu3 or so, but i never bothered about it.
But why it has this exclamation mark i would not know.
If other simmers have it or not i would not know, youre the first i heard who experienced this also.
My elevations seems fine, do you experience problems with it?
Maybe it is a good question to bring this up in Q&A i vote +1, for now im curious to.
Thanks for bring it up
The load screen just serves to let you know how many of each improvement type has been implemented in the latest World Update.
I’m guessing that the exclamation mark was just added as a placeholder, in the image file, for when the final number of elevation data updates was finalised and then nobody remembered to enter that number.
It’s not a bug, it’s an exclamation point for emphasis most likely. There were 100 airports updated and 6 cities updated, but you can’t really “count” the number of elevation data updates so there’s no number they can put there. It’s just being used to indicate there was an update.
Asking the dev team to spend any time at all trying to fix this is ridiculous. It has zero affect on playability and they need all the time they can get to work on actual problems
I don’t think that they mean anything. You’ll notice on the left side of the screenshot, it says “95”. The other two columns don’t have numbers associated with them, so my guess is that the designers felt that there should be something there for symmetry and put exclamation points.
