As an ATP/CFI I feel I need to speak up about this one too. Really, the “hold short” after landing criteria for missions and checkrides should be eliminated entirely. Most towered airports will yell at you if you pull off the runway and stop.
But at the very least it should be moved to the other side of the line. I don’t want people new to aviation to get the idea that you should hold short of a taxiway without clearing the active runway. Doing that is a dangerous practice that can raise the risk of collisions and runway incursions. (That’s why the lines have holes on the side facing the runway - so you can go through them without asking anybody!!)
