External Flight Model

It would be great for addon developers to have the Option to build an External Flight Model like they can in DCS.

“External Flight Model (EFM).** Used by our partner developers, the EFM uses only a part of PFM - rigid body physics and contact model. What forces and moments are applied to this rigid body from aerodynamics and any other sources except the contact forces is up to EFM developer.”

This would allow Developers that would want to use the proposed EFM to be more Flexible in creating the FM for their Plane. and for the Developers that wouldn’t want to use it they could still use the MFS Flightmodel.

External flight models have been a thing for over a decade in the Microsoft FS franchise, Simconnect already allows for this and a few developers have already gone this root, for example Majestic and their Q400. Whether its actually available yet in MSFS 2020 is another matter as the SDK is far from complete, I’m sure if its not it will be at some point.
