Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?
no. At least not for these tests
Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?
most of em, besides some airports. Shouldnt have to do with this issue
Brief description of the issue:
eye adaption (or whatever effect this is causing) seems to be bugged after SU 10 (?) in nighttime. Causing way too dark scenery/objects in low moon phases / no visible moonlight.
Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:
Please watch the whole video.
Pic 1
notice the lighting arrive plane at camera angle looking to plane from right side. But not anymore when looking at it from the front.
Pic 2
Same here, from one direction one can see the light but not from the other angle. This is the example of the video.
Pic 3
This would be the byproduct of this, i imagine. There are many other posts about this too.
There is a plane infront of the camera. This is surely way too dark. I have never encountered this in the last few decades in my lifetime ^^
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Not sure… its not very easy to reproduce in a way like seen on video. Its always too dark overall but this effect like here only happens wehn there is little light. If there is enough light this wont be this obious. But the less light there seems to be, the more this happens.
To test, this is at LFML at the cargo space, 01.Okt around 1 am German time.
Ive tried to reproduce this effect on RKSI but tere it doesnt seem possible, probably due to the light pollution overall. Like mentioned, this happens most dramatically in very dark areas/very little scenery lighting expose
PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:
RTX 2080, Win10, TAA, 2k resolution
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
SU10 as far i can see. Im aware that the moon had its low around the release, i just think that this problem adds to the low moon phase. Where autoexposure fixed it before in this very dark moments, now its getting too dark. And please note that im very aware of moon phases and its influence on brightness.
Ppl who know me know that this is the first thing i explain ppl when they say XY is too dark or too bright in the night. Already in P3D.
Look at the video, you can see the lighting changes dramatically just by moving the camera. Until a point where 0 lighting arrives at the plane. It seems to even negate light that SHOULD arrive.
Be aware, this ONLY affects nighttime. Daytime autoexosure is perfect as it is now.
