Hi everyone! OK, first of all, you MUST use the Interactive Checklist to help find your way around the new switches and start up from cold and dark. Almost all issues mentioned will be solved just by doing that.

HUD glass is precisely the same size as it was before. All I have done is raised the back of the glass slightly to highlight its shape. I can make it thinner though, the thickness of the glass wasn’t something that struck me as an “end of the world” problem to be honest.

The main problem is installation. This seems to be an issue with the sim itself. A total removal of the F-16s and a fresh install should solve any other bugs that are appearing :+1:

Sorry Jack, you misunderstood. I turned off the HMD - click the lower middle button to bring up SUPT. On the LH side, middle button is HMD. If you click that the screen goes blank and I can’t turn it back on.

Ok, I’ll check it out in a few hours and see if there’s anything wrong with it.

@DEAN01973 I’m just nitpicking but is it possible that you could change the colour of the fuel tanks from white to grey and the belly tank on the Thunderbirds livery to blue with a future update?

Will make a note of it

Let’s see, for all of you who are confused with the autopilot. A rough transition has been made to the functions of the real plane. We have not been able to update the manual yet but I will give you a summary:

Okay got it figured out so far, but i still can’t get the autothrottle to engage with Sim-vars/events, it says “ON” in the DED but nothing happens, but if i press the L5-Button it works.
Im Using these events right now in Axis and Ohs

(>K:KEY_AP_SPD_VAR_SET,·Keyevent)
(>K:KEY_AP_PANEL_SPEED_ON,·Keyevent)
(>K:KEY_AUTO_THROTTLE_ARM,·Keyevent)

Edit: Also where can i see the wind like in the previous MFD?

You should toggle directly the autothrottle arm event and IAS hold should trigger automatically holding the spd. also, the key events for spd increase / decrease to manage the speed you could bind them instead of (>K:KEY_AP_SPD_VAR_SET,·Keyevent)
(>K:KEY_AP_PANEL_SPEED_ON,·Keyevent). Or you can set directly the desired value trough DED keypad.

Wind is something i will have to add.

Right now I am adding FLIR to these panels:

Thanks alot for that!

Is there a reason i cannot use the knob even if i push the throttle forward until the knob is visible? Why is it a must to make the Throttle quadrant invisible?

I didn’t really fly for some weeks, was just playing around abit the last days. I still wait for amd to release a proper working driver for VR using the reverb g2.

It’s a 3D model problem and we don’t understand why. We have never been able to solve it, but it seems that the entire area covered by the accelerator is a node that does not allow access to the switch nodes. The only way is to hide it for now

The only way i get auto-throttle to work with the “(>K:AUTO_THROTTLE_ARM)” -Event is when i toggle IAS one time, after that it turns off and on as it should, but i shouldnt have to flick the lever first right?

i have commited a mistake, sorry.

K:AUTO_THROTTLE_ARM
K:AP_PANEL_SPEED_ON
K:AP_SPD_VAR_SET

what that switch does is these:

  • if autothrottle is not armed it arms it, otherwise it disarms.
  • if ATH is armed then set SPEED ON
  • if SPEED on, hold current speed.

I think you should only need autothrottle AUTO_THROTTLE_ARM plus SPD HOLD.

This means you can arm autothrottle once, and manage speed ON/OFF

the problem of losing 5 -6 fps when I switch on the nav light button its still happening in this update to , can you explain what the heck its happening with that switch ? :))) thanks

It could be the light reflections on the canopy that could be causing this. It basically just turns on lights, it doesn’t do anything in the background.
