F/A18 Takeoff Training won't detect 10 degree pitch

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: The F/A18 take off training doesn’t detect the 10 degree pitch so it keeps saying “You made a number of mistakes today” and only mark the take off section as 18-20%.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time

Was able to obtain 86 % (SU5 Beta):

So maybe keep trying.

It’s a little bit tricky to get the timings right how the tutorial wants it, but the it’s well possible:

Thank you. I will try again when SU5 comes out I suppose as I am not in the beta.

Any tips on getting the timing right? I am doing everything as the instructor vocalises.

Thank you. I have managed to get it detect and have now aced it.

However, every other time before and after the successful attempt, I have not managed to get the “Take off” missions steps to show up. It skips straight to Unrestricted climb after the Gear up prompt is cleared.

Hopefully these posts help anyone else that is having the same issue.

For anyone in the future that is having the same issue as me, I’ve found the workaround to this now.

When the instructor says to go max power, ignore her and keep throttle at MIL.

Wait for the reach 300 knots and pitch up 10 degrees instructions to pop up before engaging afterburners.

I theorise that in my initial video/attempts, because I engage afterburners when the instructor says, I reach 300 knots too quickly so the instructions get skipped.
