I think I’ve found a little trick to avoid the F key from Zooming out.
Close FSRealistic
Edit the \FSRealistic\Data\config.json file. Inside look for this value: “camera_default_zoom” and change it from 50 to the Zoom value you use in MSFS (in my case 85)
Save the file and open FSRealistic again
That’s cool but we don’t use the same zoom value all the time? My main gripe with FSrealistic is when I’m zoomed in all the way to an instrument or whatever (using the slider bar of a Behringer X-Touch Mini, mind you) and typing “F” for whatever reason suddenly defaults my zoom.
Very annoying. Still can’t figure out how they haven’t fixed it after all these years and why more people aren’t complaining.
This bug was really annoying me so I decided to fix it myself and patch it out. F key issue is fixed now. Requires Python.
