Hi,
When flying the standard F18, I have issues with the flaps behaving quite unpredictably. I understand that they are intended to be automatic, however they seem to react too quickly. As I try and trim for stable flight, this can be disrupted by the flaps going up and down.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Is there a workaround?

leave them. that’s how they are supposed to be.
You do not trim this aircraft in flight, “except” when flaps set to 1/2 or full.
( take & off landing )
When the gear go down, it also has computer assist flight control, just to make things seem even more strange.
Flaps set auto in flight mode.
There’s more to it, but that’s the basics.
Search it here in forums and utube has some nice instruction vids.
Just be sure you looking at msfs f18, super hornet or f18e (f18e/f)
