Still learning the 320. Using the FBW development version. Did an ILS approach perfectly even the Autoland worked with the CATIII ILS. But went to do an RNAV approach and could not for the life of me get the approach autopilot to engage. The approach phase was activated and the managed speed and everything was working fine. But never got glide slope indicator and approach button would not work. Any ideas what I might have missed?
I think they disabled it deliberately because they’re implementing the VNAV feature.
For now you can’t use the APPR button for RNAV approach. Instead use the charts to position yourself to be at the right altitude and manually engage the Flight Path Angle descent at the right time to bring you down to the runway. When everything looks good, turn off AP for manual adjustment and flare.
I’ve done a few RNAV approaches in my YouTube videos and they’re generally okay.

Ahh gotcha I prefer to use ils approaches anyways but was doing RNAV since the active arrival runway for the flight I planned didn’t have ils. Good to know they working on vnav. Any info on a timeframe for that?
