Fast forward function

Hi… it’s just me or does autopilot and flightplan plan get messed up anythine I use fast forward function during flight? I mean that thing to fast travel to descent phase etc. Anytime I use it it loads me back with completely trashed autopilot settings which are nowhere close to state I left them and usualy it also refuses to follow flightplan (it ignores next waypoint direction and usualy fly just straight or it gets caught in weird circles). Am I doing something wrong or it just the feature/bug please? I a not using that function often but sometimes I have to… Thnx for help

Yep…the fast forward function is totally borked. The Load/save function is the exact same. Load back in and there is no flight plan, the autopilot is off and your plane is careering towards the ground.

It makes doing long haul flights totally impractical for most people who only have a few hours to play during the day. Can’t imagine why a simple Load/Save function is so difficult to get right.

Hmm… I usualy can get AP settings and Aircraft settings sorted out relativly quickly so I manage not to get grounded right away, but FP is usualy trashed so bad that I am not able to continue as intended. If I try to enter it again manualy into FMS it gets sort of back on track but usualy the ATC get confused and refuse to give me correct clearences… Is there any suitable workaround or I just have to get on with it. And beware that I am on Xbox, so limited possibilities here

I think what you are currently doing IS the workaround tbh. I’ve found its not consistent though…sometimes the flight plan is still in the GPS for me…sometimes not. But it usually totally disappears from the simulator map.

As I said its totally borked. Should have been fixed by this point…I mean a functioning save routine is pretty basic for any game you would think. My workaround atm is to only attempt flights that will take a maximum of 2 hours or so. No point in doing anything longer at this point.

I want to go Intercontinental… ! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I gave it a try recently and world of wonder it worked. From Charles de Gaul to JFK. Yes it has spawn me only 10 000 Ft lower than I needed to be and AP and AT were disconnected, but flight plan stayed and aircraft continued to follow it.

Lucky shot… as I am not picking up any clue when it just slam the plane to the ground with no flight plan and messed up avionics
