Some nice flora at St-Laurent-Du-Maroni (SOOM) in WU19:
in msfs 2024 put species exact name in prural like cows, kangaroos etc. to seach box in world view. You will find all the animals or atleast many of them and the exact location.
Doesn’t work for me. Tested it with “crocodiles”, “cows”, “kangaroos” … no result.
I’m on a vanilla FS2024 with SU 2 Beta.
Are you sure you are really referring to FS2024 and that not some add-on added these search results in your case? Especially that you referred to “crocodiles” in another forum makes me think you are on FS2020. Maybe you can post a screenshot to clear this up?
i am using msfs 2024, works for me, dont know why it doesnt for for you.
Hi @WheezierMaple8
Can you post a screenshot?
I’m on the SU2 beta like @EarthFlight42 and am not seeing them either, even when zooming in. E.g. searching for “Kangaroos”:
Encountered this giraffe near lake Natron (still no cheetah!)
I’m thinking Rothchilds?
Have you noticed that in the EFB, the missions tab highlights fauna? Makes it a lot easier to pinpoint specific areas and know you’re still in a target area.
Yes probably a Rothschild’s giraffe (or what the game thinks they look like). Nice picture, by the way.
Yup. Was in the release notes for 1.4.7.0. It doesn’t show up for satellite image layer (which I prefer) but at least for the default map layer. A very welcome improvement indeed.
There was this solitary blossoming tree just by the airport at Maturaca (SWMK) in Brazil (in the month of April):
No idea what it is - any ideas?
By the color and structure of the trunk and branches it looks like a Handroanthus Impetiginosus..
Thank you @Adriano8851 - I looked up the trees description on Wikipedia, and see that it is supposed to flower between flowers July and September, so this is another data point that seasons in the Southern Hemisphere in 2024 are currently out-of-synch by ~ six months.
I think it would look good in my garden
