That shouldn’t be there or shouldn’t look like this:
I can also confirm that.
Wow…another missed item going into a released product…whether or not this actually changes anything its still shouldnt be labeled this way.
Just curious what new addition this might be …but it looks like a bug to me !
This is from the Traffic Options isn’t it? I think the labelling itself may be a bug. But it may be a new slider to give you how much fauna is generated to save FPS.
…the wonders of MSFS
I’m hoping for random flock of birds like we had in the ORBX Australia regions, flying low over forests (and maybe rivers).
There are already flocks of birds. They pop up as POI’s on the map, and you can fly to them. Easier to find if you have the assist enabled to flat out mark their position.
But I see what you mean, it would be really nice to have random fauna appear based on your location. Flying along a river, for example, and seeing birds take off as you approach.
You’re better off just flying directly to famous areas with Fauna POIs than cranking that slider.
Maybe it controls the amount of bugs
No, by random I mean really random all over the world. In the real world you see flocks of birds every few miles (pigeons around cities, seagulls and other aquatic birds around harbours, rivers and lakes etc.) and not just in a couple of tiny predetermined locations. Luckily our planet isn’t that broken yet.
Thanks! I’ve made the team aware of this if they weren’t already.
MODERATOR EDIT: This post was merged into this topic.
What is this menu item? Is it a bug or a feature?
A feature with an internal name that leaked into production. Some people suggested it controlled the amount of people walking around in the hangar menus.
The more plausible answer is it controls the amount of wildlife you see in the world at those POIs, like birds, bears, and the like.
Usually that sort of name appears with data binding. Points to the object name versus the object’s content name. There are 2 sides of the binding, the GUI and supporting background object; when one of these is changed and the other isn’t.
