Hi Team,
Recently I had two situations I haven’t experienced before while flying FBW A20N.
During the landing, I was established with ILS; the aircraft followed it fine until about 4nm away from RWY; while auto throttle and auto speed were on, the plane decided to go close to the min speed limit of about 110kts, and therefore the plane starts to sink, resulting the AP not being able to follow its own ILS glide slope. I needed to quickly take AP/Thrust off and push the throttle up to save the plane from crashing.
I’m doing pretty much standard procedures, and all other time works. I’m now starting to set the speed manually on the approach to prevent FBW from doing its own. But I thought AP should handle the approach speed.
Any suggestions?
