I guess if we want conversion to be easy, instead of separating aircrafts in 1,000 feet increments. We can round it to 500 metres increments.
thousands metres for westbound flights (1000, 2000, 3000) and five hundredths metres for eastbound flights (500, 1500, 2500, 3500 etc)
