When I fly the FBW A320NX whenever I communicate with ATC my co-pilots voice is always female. I have selected a male co-pilot Avatar in the Misc section of the General Options but that makes no difference. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the Co-Pilots voice to male in the FBW A320, if so how?
Does this only happen in the FBW, or other aircraft as well?
The voices are supposed to adhere to the gender of the Pilot Avatar, but there have been many threads if you search for this problem.
You can check the aircrat.cfg of the main FBW A320 (not any livery). There are pilot and co defined. Change it there. Leave the MISC section of General options to “default”. Then it uses the definitions in the respective aircraft.cfg.
It happens in other aircraft (MS/Asobo A320NEO, Boeing 787-10), but not all aircraft.
That’s the solution! I have changed:
pilot = “Pilot_Female_Uniform”
to:
pilot = “Pilot_Male_Uniform” in the relevant ‘aircraft.cfg’ file
and that has solved it.
