I have a fully updated FBW and tried it on different liveries. For some reason the top row of the external lights is not clickable. I have tried all angles and have had no success. Any reason why this might be happening?

If you are referring to the nav/strobe/beacon lights, they work fine for me using the exp. version.
The first thought that comes to mind would be a mod conflict.
I would try the sim with your community folder empty of all other addons, and try the FBW with the basic livery.
Seemed to be the FBW compatibility mod with A321 LVFR. removed that and it worked fine
