FBWA320 Cockpit Texture issue

Hey folks, I just downloaded the lastest dev version and I noticed the cockpit seems to be illuminated on its own from some phantom light source. Also turning on the flood light is instant max brightness? Is this a bug in the latest dev version or did I do something wrong? Last build I had from a few days ago seemed pretty solid.

You mean like a flashlight when you start cold and dark at night?

No, it’s like the textures themselves are generating light. I could swear that C&D without the flashlight on was near pitch black. I tried with the stable version but no change. I guess it’s just something with the 320. I was just in the longitude last night and that seemed properly dark at night. The flood light knob is also either off or right to full bright. Not sure if that’s the FBW mod or a stock bug. Haven’t tried stock in awhile.

Do you have any screenshot? I’m finding it really difficult to imagine the issue you’re having based on what you typed.

This is what it looks like, C&D, and then with just the flood lights on. Seems like there’s some sort of ambient light making the cockpit glow. I remember this being near pitch black with just the glow of the ext power lamp.

Interesting… I’ll have to test it myself.
I don’t know if I can reproduce it though, since I use a Cockpit colour retrofit mod.

Curious to see. I could swear literally the other day it was pitch black. Maybe I added some other mod that did something to lighting.

Indeed interesting. It doesn’t do that on my side. But I was of for the weekend. So I’m not updated in dev versions, I assume.

I downgraded to the stable version and it was the same thing. I feel like I’m going crazy because I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that way the other day lol!

Try to remove all your mods and just use the A32NX mod. See if the texture fixed it. If it does, then there’s definitely a conflicting mod somewhere. Restore your mod few things at a time, and see if there’s any changes. Once it does, then you’ll know which ones causing it.

Ah! Totally forgot I added a lighting mod for other aircraft which did not seem to play well with the 320. As it should look now! Thanks!

There you go… first step of troubleshooting issue. Is to eliminate the possible causes. It’s important to keep track of what you install in your community folder. I would think that if you have lighting issue, then the first thing to check is the lighting mod that you have installed.

The FlyByWire team work really hard to improve the aircraft in its entirety. They’ve made lighting fixes very early in their project stages, and they keep improving the lighting quality. So any mod that conflicts with the same files they’re changing will be conflicted. So make sure you only install the mods that don’t affect the A32NX.

But I’m glad it works for you now.
