Iām very pleased to see the feedback (and presumably internal observations) taken seriously as they measure when an SU is ready for release.

I think it would be very helpful if you could bring back the Development Roadmap section of the Development Update Blog. I always found that to be the most useful and interesting section. Not sure exactly when that was dropped but would appreciate it if it could be reinstated.

I fear there would be so many "tbd"s or ātentativesā that it would be pointless right now. Just like now SU1 will tentatively be on the 25th Feb. Or maybe my previous prediction of early march wasnāt so far out after all.

I tend to agree with you. But letās be clear on communication. They did not state the 25th in the blog post.
The more recent official statement is very open in terms of timeline regarding this.

I would not be surprised, as you are, if it will be March. Especially if you think they might release another beta build in advance. The timing for the 25th seems to be very optimistic in this regard.
While I appreciate they take the time to do things right now, it is a bit sad that we are now almost 2 month after the last major release ( 1.2.7.0 - Dec 11th)
Would be interesting what the reason is for this delay. Is it the feedback about stability or is the Marketplace still not ready?
Does this mean that the timeline for the WU Brazil will now move also? Or we still on track with it despite the delay for SU1?

I suspect a combination. If I were the devs Iād be throwing all my effort into getting MP released with SU1. I mean you will tempt some people back to FS2024 with SU1, but maybe a lot more with SU1 + MP working as intended and add ons being available. I think they have thrown a whole lot of man hours into that as a priority, but perhaps one or two kinks remain that keep pushing it out. The new MP has a lot of new options too compatibility/native/rentals/streaming/downloads etc and is more complex than in FS2020 so it all has to work.
On the SU1 side alone and with SU2 beta going to be hot on the heels, Iām not anticipating many more changes for SU1 before release. Maybe just one or two more things (like fixing the new EFB bug) before itās ready.
Re Brazil WU, Iāve seen a ? on what does the MP have to do with Brazil WU, but it has everything to do with Brazil WU. They usually run promotions/sales etc on the back of these things, and people may be inclined to spend money or airports to further enhance their Brazil WU experience. If you donāt have a MP available then you lose that potential. Thereās also the still unanswered issue of will Bush trips be available in FS2024? and if not then why would people not just use FS2020 to explore Brazil. Not sure we will have a definitive answer though pre release.
They will also be looking for a stream of good news. So SU1 + MP then WU and Free plane shortly thereafter sounds like what Iād be shooting for if I were them. Sounds like the latter two are ready so itās just the first two that need finalising.

You might be right regarding the Marketplace. Given the new features. I am still wondering if it is a smart move to not test the Marketplace as part of the beta.
All the new features could cause some trouble and it will be released without a beta test.
Lets fingers crossed that this will not end up as a bad decision.
Regarding the WU, as I recall it was said during the live stream that they need some time to test it and this will happen after the SU1. Thatās the reason I was speculating about a potential delay for the WU as well. In case they stick to the āoriginalā timeline it will just shorten the testing time for WU Brazil. Not sure if this is a smart decision.
once again Asobo unable to deliver in time. how long will be the delay, one month or 2 ?
SU15 was 3 months in beta.

Will the marketplace be released on the 18th anyways or are you holding of on that to until the full update is released?
Just wait patiently and be happy when they release SU1, open the Marketplace, ā¦ you name it. Letās give them enough time to not pull anything out of the oven that is just not ready for prime time and appreciate that they are spending time on getting it right.

If I were to take a guess Iād say that the MP release is gating SU1 release. not the other way around. Only minor things are changing in SU1 now by the looks of things and they are already working on SU2 beta. The MP is critical for FS2024 success, and I donāt think itās quite ready, probably close, but letās face it it has to be spot on. They said they keep stumbling across some bugs, so I think itās being rigorously tested (which is a good thing).
I also donāt think itās the type of thing they can beta test with the community as it involves buying/renting/downloading content etc so people wouldnāt be able to opt in and out of the beta so readily.
If I were to guess Iād say tentative SU1 + MP release on either 25th Feb or 4th March and WU Brazil and first free aircraft 1 week later.

As far as I know, the MP will be released immediately or soon after SU1 is released. No changes on that as far as Iām awareā¦

Itās no surprise that the SU1 target date is moved. I thought it was a bit ambitious to set a target date not knowing the potential progress or how smoothly the update is going. Though it looks like the update beta is almost finished if Absodo is testing the MP nowā¦

Well I am not sure if they are testing the MP. I am more concerend that they decide not to include the MP into the Beta test. even if it might be difficult to test this with actual purchases.
Anyhow to read the topic you linked it seems scarry that the absence of the MP does effect the EFB in this way. Hard to imagine what else would be effected if the MP gets live without a beta test.
But that is just my opinion.
Anyhow we are back on speculation and hearsay due to the minimalistic communiction from MS.
SU1, MP and WU Brazil have been part of the next steps outlined during the dev stream.
Instead of following up on these 3 Points they decided to just mention one of them and let the rest open for speculation.
Lets see what surprises they will come up. 
Anyhow I am thankful they have been proactiv with the communiction regarding SU1.
I would have more expected a blog post on Feb 20th stating they have not released on the 18th 
They are. Iām sure I saw them mention this in the last livestream. They say they are close, but keep finding new issues so want to fix them first.
This seems to imply they are holding it due to our feedback:
