I’m always puzzled when I see these posts. I’ve reinstalled MSFS numerous times at my own will and it really isn’t something I dread, it only takes a few hours at most (including decompression which seems be the bulk of the waiting). It’s the same deal with updates, they’re usually done in about 15 minutes.
