The temperature of my wheels steadily rises after I land.

After exiting the runway, the termperatures were around 60 degrees. As you can see in the screenshot, they rose significantly by the time I was parked and unloading.

I turned the break fan on while still in the air.

This is expected behavior. Without the brake fans on I’d often see 200 - 300 degree brakes or higher depending on the landing.
