Few issues I didn't see noted

I’m pretty new to these forums. I just want to say that my first impressions with this have been pretty good. I run a 1070SC with G2 and i7-8700k and need to get a RTX3080 or so.
Couple of issues I’ve had today with it that I don’t see mentioned:

  1. Headset is jittery when looking around. There isn’t a smooth transition.This might be something I need to calibrate in the headset itself.
  2. No ability to assign keys to anything other than the VR enable and VR toggle. How do I assign the space bar headset reset to a button?
  3. Switching out and back into VR is not a smooth process for me. I get 10 frames per second locked when on the desktop view and have to restart the game to get back into VR.
  4. How do I close mixed reality and keep it closed?

Other than that, if the devs are reading, what experience I have seen in this VR is nothing short of amazing. It’s just some calibration/fixes on my side I think.

I can answer number 4, you can’t close it, it has to be kept open or you will turn the headset off.

For your second question, are you referring to the key assignments under Controls or the VR Mode here in General > VR Mode? Currently you can assign Activate/Deactivate, Toolbar toggle, Camera Reset, Cokcpit Focus, and Camera translations/

I might have to take another look at that. I wasn’t able to click anything to set the keys.

You define activate and toolbar under key bindings for VR, the Camera reset and focus are defined under Key bindings -> Camera

I was in the same boat. From within VR mode I couldn’t change any of those keys. I switched to desktop again and then searched for “VR” in the key bindings and that let me set them.

I will say that running this on a 1070 isn’t terrible. I’m going to start looking for immersion tips. Need a way to handle ATC communications and maybe watch how the ATC works. Usually I get directed into an airport directly, it tells me to pick up a waypoint and then I get lost because it doesn’t tell me how to line up and land.
