After my message on 4/21 I bought a new high speed M.2 to insert into an empty M.2 slot. I did a fresh install of Win11 on it, and a fresh install of MSFS.
With that, I’ve been able to play stable for ~ 4 weeks. I played only the vanilla game (deluxe). Out of fear I’ve not even dared to open a browser on the system!
Then, out of the blue, exact same issue(s) resurface again.
While I was able to run stably, I did a complete image of this “working” m.2 disk, figuring if it starts to suck again I’ll just restore the “good” image.
No such luck!!
Even the restored image is now un-playable.
I think it started acting up in tandem with certain Win11 or game updates.
I tried zendesk issue as well. They just bury you in submitting all kinds of diagnostics but there is no follow-up or resolution.
Nothing to be done now but wait for whatever for the game to become playable again, hope they can fix this… this game is just too awesome.
