Finally Arriving! KDAL and Downtown Dallas by iBlueYonder

Well, id say it is a very decent scenery. Im not familiar with the realworld counterpart, i was mainly interested because it a Skywest hub and i like to fly these routes with the PMDG 737.

Knowing Bill Womacks (now iBlueYonder) work from decades ago, and that his work is always outstanding, it was a sure buy. He has created quite a few “classic” sceneries in the past, under his own name and for ORBX aswell.

The texturing and modelling is very good, altho, i think there are a few develops out there who are able achieve a bit higher quality, speak, a bit more detailed texturing. But overall, theres not really something to complain about.

Interior is modelled where it makes sense, but not too much unnecessary things. As the airport hasnt many windows to see inside the terminal, this makes absolutely sense, as the performance is very very good!

All the FBOs are modelled and everyone has a 3D modelled Logo on it. Maybe not so important, but for me, i like this stuff, especially if you fly GA or BusinessJets, its important that not only the mainterminal gets some love, but also the more remote areas of the airport. This is definitely the case here, altho, i think there could be a bit more clutter around there.

Im not a fan of too much clutter all over the airport, as this interferes with GSX. He places just a few bits around the main gates, which is great for that aspect, but it could be a bit more “life” around the FBOs.

Overall, the airport feels a bit “bland”, but thats just how it is in real life aswell. Its not exactly a pretty airport, it doesnt have many signs and billboard etc, its very “clean” and that is also what it feels in the sim. So, not a bad thing.

What is worth mentioning, is that the Jetways are very detailed modelled, according to the real counterparts.

For sure one of the quality airports outthere, but not quite on par with what Flightbeam can achive, especially in the texturing, but its definitely not bad at all.
