First paid add-on ever!

This is not meant as a thread for listing your first purchases ever, unless of course people want to go there? I’m just here psyched about MY first purchase ever, the PZL-104 Wilga!!! I’m an Xbox Xer. Sadly, she’s been sitting in my hanger for 3 days and I haven’t even had a chance to sit in it yet. :sob: Can’t wait.

My first paid addon for MSFS was an airport. Can’t quite remember which now…

Enjoy the Wilga! :small_airplane:

Thanks.

It was a toss-up between the Wilga and the Kodiak as my first, which will probably be my next. Hoping the Comanche makes it some day.

If I remember right, my first paid addon was Aeroplane Heaven’s Cessna 140. It was released soon after I bought MSFS and it was really exciting since my uncle had owned a 140.

Looking through my current files, it looks like Catalina Island Airport was my first purchase for the current sim back in mid 2021, but I also had a couple of payware addons for FS9.

For me, I think it was the DHC-6 Twin Otter. After using the simulator for 6 months, and it started to get a bit boring.I was willing to learn the VOR navigation so I was looking for a gauge plane ! and then the analog Cessna 208 was announced. While I was eagerly waiting for it, I decided to invest in the Twin Otter to fill a gap

Comanche never going to make it to XBOX,It’s worth upgrading to a pc for that alone. For me it was either the Kodiak or the 737-600

If I remember correctly, my first add-on, paid or otherwise, was the Drezwiki (sp?) add-on scenery for Moscow Russia and some of the local airports.

His stuff is top-notch and I think I’ve bought other add-ons he’s authored.

(Note: I trash talked his Moscow add-on at first, but then realized that I had confused it with the XP-11 version which conflicted with simHeaven’s European scenery package.  Abject apologies and head banging.)

That and so many other reasons. As soon as I can afford it.

The DHC-2 is my favourite until I see what the Wilga is all about. Except again, on Xbox, the Beaver has camera glitches that Xboxers can’t fix. Very unfortunate and one of the most frustrating things about xbox. Simple fixes that never happen.

Simple Traffic! I just couldn’t stand the generic liveries, and it was super easy to install. Set it and forget it.

It’s now in my “inactives” folder ever since FSLTL hit the scene.

Ok, I’ll bite.

What’s “FSLTL”?

Fantastic choice!! It’s a wonderful thing. I adore it so much. It’s just a part of my body now

Unlucky hehe. I think the gap has firmly closed now anyway so no harm done

Close, but no
(you are braver than me though… I’m not gonna even attempt to spell it!)

My first buy for 2020 was the MB-339 jet by IndiaFoxtEcho, closely followed by the Turbo Arrow by Just Flight. The addiction started there and might just be getting worse

@Fodre69 P.S. if you really want to stretch Wilma’s legs, drop by my Discord channel, as I run a bi-weekly event (on Saturdays) where we all use the 80X variant to do various fun things like short landing (STOL) challenges and races in interesting locations

What a great add on for your first! Was a Kitfox flyer but have since uninstalled the Fox because Wilma just “does it better”. Really only take the 80x out but also enjoy the float version and the ability to paddle around.

She’s great to take around the backcountry and Forestry Service strips in Idaho, great test of skill and wonderful scenery views.

I just got the wilga a couple of days ago too. Wonderful plane. Anyways, my first add on was the Carenado Seneca V.

My first paid add on was the CS 777-300er (I regret buying it…)

My first purchase was the Kodiak. I love that plane. I works well on Xbox X too. It’s not easy to find the right amount of rudder trim to be able to take off, but once in the air, it flies really nicely.
