First week first impressions

Good evening fellow flight simmers,

A mixture here of first impressions and one or two minor help/queries…

  1. Raw sim looks just fine - need a graphics card upgrade to get the best of it, but considering I’m looking at the standard microsoft scenery with a lot of bits on minimum, it’s looking good.
  2. Aircraft far more responsive to air pockets and wind making it perhaps more realistic?
  3. Am turning off the help boxes soon - I keep gettign cues that tell me I’m flying at more than 100 knots when I’m above 5000ft - I get warnings that I’m exceeding the 20 knot speed limit when I’m thundering down the runway…One cue I never sort adequately is the Heading type warning asking me to press D, and nothing happens…
  4. Did a first APR landing earlier - works just fine - in the twin engined Baron. Cold starting this aircraft didn’t go well - I thought I had every switch thrown but the engines just coughed and spluttered, even with a rich mix.

Promising - very promising.

Glad you are enjoying it

I’m actually quite impressed with the accuracy of the scenery.
I flew over my house yesterday, and the road layout was pretty much spot on.
The houses were not accurate - stock buildings used for the close that I live on, but the impression was pretty good.
I don’t see churches in villages though - maybe I’d need by settings to be a little higher for them to be generated.
Considering though that this is the base level scenery with no super dooper enhanced scenery, it’s pretty good.
Will look even better when my graphics card is upgraded…!
