I did repair , same problem
I did reset same i get this
TenPatrol you made my day… Thank you!!!
I must say that having to manipulate the registry to make the game work is a step too far for me, any news from microsoft/asobo on the matter ? I mean windows as well as msfs are both ms products, no ?
This worked for me. I had just one key without subkeys and it was package volume 2. After restarting PC, the store gave me a error 0x80131500 “check my connection try again later” I found on the internet that doing this worked for me and now im actively downloading the latest msfs update
: 1 - click on START and type " Internet Options "
2 - click on it and when a new windows will pop-up click on ADVANCED
3 - scroll down till the end
4 - Unflag " Use SSL 3.0 ", " Use TLS 1.0 ", " Use TLS 1.1 "
5 - Flag " Use TLS 1.2 ", " Use TLS 1.3 (experimental) "
6 - click on APPLY and then close the window
7 - Restart
You pay 120 EUR, and every update you are forced to make (Mandatory!) the Flightsimulator breaks making an updateinstall impossible. Solutions: Reinstall Windows, Repair install of Windows, reinstall the 127gb of the simulator, muck around in the registry which you are normally not supposed to touch. Just tell me what is Asobo doing? I have never had a programm with so many problems. Every Patch is usually met with total doom. The only update that worked like a good program should work was Patch 4. The rest were a catastrophe. 6(!) times I have installed over 100gb with the PC running overnight. This just cannot be the way to program a piece of software that needs to update itself often. Starting to think I will wait till Patch 6. Maybe it will fix itself then. I also own X-Plane 11. Every update there was first of all not mandatory (if you liked the way the simulator worked, you could leave it), and second the update routine always(!!) worked. The eyecandy of MSFS 2020 ist absolutely gorgeous but the rest is total garbage at the moment. I won´t even bother to set up my system, because come next patch it will all break again.
The registry stuff kind of worked. It loaded something. The Simulator starts but on the Mt. Fuji picture it stops, saying that now the content server are apparently offline…
I think that the best thing is when a new Update comes out: Deinstall, reinstall, go to bed, let the PC run overnight. Saves a lot of time searching, trying all kinds of stuff, and a lot of time getting mad about it.
Worked for me after I was reading again the instruction of what should really be deleted in the registry. Thank YOU TARAVOCHRIS, Great Job!
This is really inexcusable. In no way should a company allow a game to break so badly that it requires tampering with the registry or other such issues, particularly when it costs $100+! I have been absolutely appalled at the state of MSFS. It looks great (mostly), but it runs like a two-bit hack organization was hired on the cheap to replace a revered flagship program. To say I’m disgusted is an understatement. I simply don’t have the time to play around with fixing the programming of this load of garbage.
Thanks a ton! but how did you figure this out???
My experience exactly. Since receiving this program as a gift on August 18, 2020, I have reinstalled MS FS2020 eleven (11) times, edited registry keys, booted with a limited set of drivers, disabled other programs, etc. You know the drill. The program will run perfectly for 2 to 7 days after a reinstall, then go into into what I call the permanent fail-to-load mode where right after “Checking for Updates” I would see a black screen with a blue thermometer that progesses to the 80% mark and no farther. After version 1.18.14 and 1.18.15, were installed, it started hanging at the same spot, but instead of a black screen I’m asked to install mandatory updates again; the same updates that were already loaded! The Store and the app settings report that 1.18.15 is installed . A Microsoft Tech has witnessed this behavior, downloaded logs from my system, and after two weeks has no answers. I too have XPlane 11 and look forward to version 12. While FS 2020 shows much promise, it fails to run for too many of us.
