Hope this will be fixed when they decide to change the clouds.
Since 2020! This should be considered. ![]()
True, definitely needed
Don’t let this topic ‘fade’ away guys … !!!
Here’s what Active Sky FS has managed to accomplish with what the MSFS engine already has:
The fundamental issues still remain vis-a-vis the cloud types, but at least the clouds have some density, structure and flying in them actually causes turbulence.
On a related note, it is indeed a pity that Asobo has disabled/regressed on whatever “aerosol density" or “humidity” setting they had in MSFS 2020, so not even ASFS can inject some of those atmospheric effects if they wanted to! Truly sad that the devs just pretend like a core feature of the sim being just ABSENT isn’t something to be resolved within THREE sim updates.
Hope to see this on the road
map…
I hope Asobo is working on this. Please vote for this.
Personally, it would be nice if the December surprise involved clouds… for example, the inclusion of ray tracing?!! I’ll post it there:rofl:![]()
Raytraced Clouds - Sponsored by nVidia / AMD. YES PLEASE! ![]()
Also could we get something like droplets forming on the windows when flying through clouds?
That’s REALLY Easy to implement: Use the rain effect (maybe scale it a bit to make the droplets smaller) and apply the also already available wind effect to make the droplets flow slowly over the windscreen.
I tried to emulate it in Debug-Mode with:
- RAIN: 70
- Wind: 19
It looked pretty nice already, but with even smaller droplets it would look even better.
Clouds need to return to their FS2020 state… the pixelation is crazy when flying through
