Hi all,
I hope you don’t mind me posting this here but in the last 3 weeks the sim had developed a really nasty feeze on landing lasting around 6-8 seconds.
No previous issues like this in 4 years but I have managed to find out what the issue was and things seem to have gone back to normal.
I cannot explain it in text here so I made a Youtube Video on my channel to explain the fix better and show what needs to be done.
I guess something had changed in the Sim with an addon.

Well, thank you for the response, not the initial one I was expecting but anyway.
If you can demonstrate an active freeze by way of a screenshot then you are a better person than me. I did hesitate putting this up, but as I got some positive feedback off my Twitch viewers, I thought I would share it with the wider community.
I am too old and long in the tooth to be posting for clickbait.

It seems like you misread what I wrote. I didn’t ask you to add a screenshot of what a freeze during landing looks like as that wouldn’t make sense - we all know what it looks like anyway.
I specifically asked you to explain how to solve the problem, including screenshots. Trust me, it’s not difficult - I’ve done it myself many times, dedicating my time to help MSFS community

Yes, no problem.
Basically the crux of it is to change these entries in the aircraft.cfg file of your payware or freeware aircraft.

FUELTRUCK =0
BAGGAGE_LOADER =0
CATERING_TRUCK =0
BOARDING_RAMP =0
GROUND_POWER_UNIT =0
PUSHBACK =0
SMALL_PUSHBACK =0
MARSHALLER =0
JETWAY =0
For some reasons, when these are set to 1, they are causing issues.
The sim has been running without problems for years, so some other addon relating to airport sevice files ( which I cannot identify at the moment ) is causing these 6-8 second freezes.
N.B for airliners you can leave the Jetway entry as =1

Interesting. I wonder if the Sim is starting the AI and animations for those services as your coming in.
I initially thought it was something to do with a rogue texture file on an effect file as it only freezes right on the point of touchdown, before then no problems. This, however has cleared all of the problems.
