Since the installation of FS2024 i’ve found so many missing things and inconveniences , the main idea is to list some improvements and bugs i would like they focus first to improve the FS2024 installation experience and onboarding
Note I am using the Microsoft Store Version, maybe these not apply to the Steam version
Improvements

Not way to set the Packages location like in FS2020, this is very important since most user have an small C drive to hold only the operative system, and use a different drive for their Game as like is my case, the workaround is going to edit the
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Packages/Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/UserCfg.optmanually -
Ability to change the ‘StreamedPackages’ folder location, the original location is
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Packages/Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalState/StreamedPackages, related with the first point, this will ran out of space the C drive when all packages starts to download, in fact this was one of the reason my Sim wasnt able to pass the loading screen, since i didnt have enough space, my workaround was making a symlink manually to my gaming drive, i dont know if there any config where i could change this -
Ask user where to put their rolling cache (
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Packages/Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/ROLLINGCACHE.CCC), the first time the open the sim, this similar to point 1 and 2, it was taking around 16gb of disk space plus the StreamedPackages , all this ran out my C drive, probably would be a good idea to prompt these Location when installing the game, like it did in FS2020 (was only Packages back them but could be expanded) , also will be nice to have all these paths be changeable via the Settings, i just named a few but anything that takes a lot of space should be changeable -
When creating the Character, adjust the music volume to be lower, I wasnt able to hear the Voices very well, and since is the first this you encounter before going to the main menu, you are not able to reduce the volume yourself

Ability to have multiple Carrer, like in Neofly, this could very good if you want to have a profile that only focus on Helicopter, etc, i know you can just unlock that in your main carrer, but sometimes you want this separated, also useful for content creators that might make content for different series
Bugs

TTS: when you choose a language for the Interface, different for the Spoken Dialogue, in my case i have Spanish as Dialogue and English as Interface, the TTS was reading English with Spanish TTS making the reading wrong since was read as spanish words instead of english and wrong pronunciation,

Game Crash: the game is crashing every time a USB is disconnecting
