until today i have had no problems with flaps, today i tried to start a flight in the FBW a320 and the flaps were in the down position and was unable to retract, checked settings all was correct, reloaded sim , tried other aircraft all had the same problem.
help please as i am at a loss as what to try next

I had the same with the f/a eighteen, it has some strange flap setting at the start, it does flip around and you cannot manually take control of the flaps.
Moved to Third Party, Aircraft.
S.Hornet flaps:
up=auto, middle=take off and down=landing. Leave rhem set to auto unless taking off or landing.
Sounds like a hardware thing, especially if it’s affecting all aircraft. What hardware do you use to fly with? Have you tried looking at the controls you have set, recalibrating etc?
Thanks for your reply, it was a great help narrowed it down to my thrust-master Warthog throttle, I cleaned it yesterday it looks like i may have shorted a switch, thanks for the help much appreciated
