Flaps Issue - All Aircraft

My flaps are not deployable when using controller axis or buttons on all tested aircraft. Won’t deploy using controller axis. Will deploy using button commands and then retract again after two seconds. Any controller axis works on spoilers, throttles etc., but not flaps. Same results from other controllers. If controllers are completely disconnected, flaps cannot be deployed with mouse, but throttles, spoilers, etc. can be controlled with mouse. Does not appear to be hardware issue. I have checked and reset Windows USB game controllers and sensitivity/calibration within MSFS 2020. All seem to work normally when being configured. I have deleted and re-installed controllers from within game. AI is turned completely off. Removed all add ons. I have repaired, reset, and completely uninstalled and reinstalled MSFS using latest upgrade, but the problem persists. Newbie to this forum. Been down for weeks. How do I get help?

It sounds like you have another switch or axis bound to the flaps. Check your control assignments under both Keyboard and your controller. Look for conflicting inputs.

You have a double button assignment, it could be keyboard, mouse, or the controllers you are using. It is very hard to find it unless the settings screen tells you about double assignment. That is what is causing your issue.
Delete all “flaps” assignments on the controller, and then rebind, see if problem goes away.

tClay and Meridian, That’s exactly what I thought, but I previously tried disconnecting all controls except the mouse and keyboard, deleted the keyboard bindings for flaps, and insured there were no other flap bindings. After your response I double checked. The only way to control the flaps is with the mouse itself. When I left click on the flaps and start to move the mouse down, it jumps back to the full retract position. I also changed keyboards just to be sure. No soap. It seems to me that perhaps there is an issue with the configuration file, which is apparently on one drive and not accessible for mods. When I did a complete uninstall and reinstall I noticed that my previous configurations were still there.

Do you have any assists turned on?

Thank again for your help.

All AI is turned off. Are there other assists that I should be trying?

Maybe this.

Ron S. You did it!!! I have not got everything completely reinstalled and configured, but preliminarily that worked. Thanks you so much. I was getting discouraged. I have no idea how this was set this way as I have had the SW working well for some time. Thanks again to you and everyone who offered their advice!
