Flashing lights in VR

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: I’m using a Quest 3, DLSS on Quality, and AMD Sharpening @ 80. At or about dusk I’m seeing what appears to be flashes of light in a random pattern when looking out of either side window. I don’t see any flashes through the windshield. Out of the pilots side there are many flashes, 5-7 at any point in time. On the right side window I only see about 2-3. This is in the current SU2 Beta flying the DH Beaver 2.

There was a thread about this issue, although it related to FS2020. You might want to have a look and note the 3rd and 4th posts which list bloom and sharpening respectively as causes:

This has been an issue in FS24 since launch and looks to be caused the reflection angle of low sunlight on ground objects on the cockpit windscreens. The cubemap used in the sim is really low resolution making these reflections look very poor and bloomy-like big pixels that pop in and out of existence.

Going into the UserCfg.opt file and changing the ReflectionProbe value to something larger like 1024 or higher makes these reflections look correct BUT at a larger performance cost.

A better solution is needed for this as it wasn’t an issue in FS20.
