Brand new to Flight Simulator Forums, about two months, first post.
Retired CFII/MEI, brand new to MSFS. Current hardware is:
- 52” TCL 4K HDR
- Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo
- Thustmaster TFRP rudders
- Thrustmaster A.320 HOTAS
- Logitech G Pro Flight Radio Panel
- iPad 9.7” running Wing X Pro
I’m trying to build a procedural trainer flight simulator with MFSF. I’ve flown and sys-admin’d both a certified Elite desktop sim and a no-name turnkey sim running X-Plane certified commercial software.
Mostly I’m looking for advice and tips on building a non-gaming, stable sim environment as realistic to an actual aircraft as I can afford to with a limited budget. No suggestion is too trivial or arcane to post. I’m just kinda running out of ideas what to do next.
Two questions while I’m here, though. Just got Flight Events to talk to my iPad. It seems to just take over Wing X Pro and displays what it wants to. Can’t pinch and zoom. Is that just the way it is?
Also, anyone using PilotEdge? It came packaged with the Alpha/Bravo with a five-hour free flight time trial. Seems pretty cool.
Thanks for any feedback or suggestions you might send my way.
Best regards,
Al
