When planning a A320 flight, lets say from EDDF to EDDT, chosing the approaches like AKUDI RNAV 08 the altitude data of the points is either calculated wrong or we have a faulty database. It sends the plane from 11000 ft to 5000 ft in 4 NM.
This applies to other approaches as well, e.g. DOMUX for EDDL.
Am I doing something wrong or do we have a problem here?
Flight plan altitudes aren’t great. I’m only doing VFR right now and I’d bust restrictions if I followed them, where following them is actually possible.
The flight planner is a good initial step but those of us wanting to be realistic it is no where near up to speed yet an may never get that way. That’s ok, as long as we get the ability to import a real flight plan on day. Hopefully soonish.
Thats not OK since we have everything in there except the correct altitudes. This must be a bug, I dont think that the NavDatabase is plain wrong when it has the correct GPS-Points in.
Certainly it is a bug and I’m sure it will be fixed. What I am OK about is that it doesn’t become a fully featured flight planner as long as I can import my plans. Your view on that may differ but that is just mine.
