Flight Sim points for free marketplace purchases

Hey all,

I am wondering about how it is possible to freely purchase items from the marketplace such as the world updates in scenery and the fly-by-wire aircraft when there are so called “flight sim points”.

What are those all about and how do we obtain them?

Points are purchased automatically when you buy the item from the store.

You don’t need the points for the free stuff.
