There’s a difference between wanting a new game and new features such a career mode. I can’t recall the community asking for a new game prior to the MSFS 2024 announcement, because everyone was under the assumption that MSFS 2020 was going to be supported for 10 years. However, I do recall a lot of people calling for an addition of a career mode (presumably as DLC). Nobody here is saying we shouldn’t have a career mode.
Didn’t people say FSX was the limit or had huge limitations? Yet MSFS 2020 was developed based on the foundations of an upgraded and heavily modified version of the FSX engine. I’m sure MSFS 2020 could have been updated to support a career mode.
