Thank you for the answer. This is not a good trait of MSFS (and not the only one). In previous versions of Flight Simulator, it was possible to resume a safed flight enroute with a working flight plan. This was very handy. My impression is, that MSFS has meanwhile got more the character of a game than that of a training software.
