FlightSim Studio B727 Freighter

Is anyone having issues with the Bravo Throttle heading knob not working? When I first bought the 727 it was working then after the last two updates the knob won’t move the heading curser any longer. Thanks. Great airplane!

Same problem here

they have changed the variable. I am not on the pc, but you need to find the new variables to make it work. I use Axis and oh’s and did notice that the HDG no longer worked with the original programmed variables. Just go to the behavior menu and look it up.

Forgive me for seeming elementary, however, behavioral menu? Where can I find that? I’ve tried to fix it within msfs control options to no avail. All other aircraft it works fine. Thanks for offering support.

You will not get it to work at the moment with normal ingame bindings, no matter if every other plane would work. And using the “behaviour” window of the Developer Mode will only be usefull, if you use 3rd party software like Axis And Ohs or Spadnext to bind scripts to your hardware. If not, you can only wait and see if they make it work with default ingame keybinds in a future version.

In case you have AAO or Spadnext here would be some events/variables/Scripts:

This is great thank you for taking the time.

I emailed FSS about the poor quality of the engine smoke and they said they’d take a look. Seems it’s been ‘fixed’ in one of the recent updates but does anyone else think it now looks a whole lot worse? Such a fabulous aircraft but the smoke effect looks like something out of FS2004!

I’d rather they just do away with it, or give us the option to disable. It’s a trail of black puffs and it eats frames on what’s already one of the poorest performing planes in the sim.

It still looks terrible but they’re still aware because I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about that on their Discord channel.

Does this aircraft have an auto start( or a "ready for TO) mode. When I use CTL- E, the aircraft appears normal, but a number of functions don’t work, ie. autopilot, gears, etc. thanks.

Your best bet is probably to use the phone to the left of the Captain’s seat and use the crew manager. That ensures the various steps are being performed. I doubt Ctl+E will set up the hydraulics, packs, etc.

Starting directly on a runway is in some how a ready to go. Additionaly if I remember it correctly, there is a ready to taxi or to fly option in the EFB.

There’s a new version 1.0.3+patch1 available.

Changelog

  • Fixed transponder knobs not working since 1.0.3
  • #1071 - Fixed corrupt GSX file
  • #535 - Improved ENG startup EGT behavior to incorporate OAT and Density Altitude

Well at least no one can accuse FSS of not updating their products! This is one area in which they excel, I’d say.

I hope they either have fixed or will in time fix the awful smoke effect — such a beautifully-modelled jet, let down by something so tiny and seemingly insignificant as a smoke trail…

It really does look awful, though — so much so that I’m actually struggling to fly it at the moment. It was better upon release.

Yeah I agree - at first I didn’t understand the recent comments about the smoke, until I took the 727 back up for a flight yesterday and saw the new effects. Does need some fixing. Not a deal breaker if only flying from the cockpit but does make it hard to get some of those nice exterior shots during climb.

I suppose as a stopgap measure you could create an empty file with the same name as the smoke effect and overwrite the current one to just get rid of it

Yep, it’s impossible to miss! Can’t wait for the fix, but at least she still flies beautifully.

Just loaded the last patch, problem: no power in main artificial horizon and in INS, using the artificial engineer or on runway. It never happened before…
Cheers

Anybody know if the 727 will be available soon for the xbox
