Hi, everyone -
It’s been 3 years and 8 months since we released the very first version of the E-Jets, v0.9.0. Since then, we’ve released 39 full updates, as well as produced hundreds of patches, experimental versions, community-involved testing releases, and thousands of internal beta builds. We’ve worked through well over 10,000 individual tracked bugs, added hundreds of new features. All that has added up to one, final, simple number: 1.0.
FSS E-Jets v1.0.0 Is Here
Over the past few years of Early Access, we’ve enabled thousands of you to fly the same E-Jets so many of us are familiar with traveling on, working with, or flying, sooner than we otherwise would have if we had fully completed the aircraft to begin with. We’re proud to finally be able to deliver the product you were all promised - with every feature we planned from the start, plus a few more we added along the way.
Some Thanks
Most importantly: the largest thanks must go our to all of you. Admittedly, it’s taken far longer for us to get from that first early release to this first full one - but we cannot express how thankful we are for all of you who took the risk and supported us through to today. Thank you. We truly could not have done it without you.
Thanks, as well, to all of our partners in development: X-Crafts, with original modeling and artwork. Aerosoft and Contrail with installers, and the flexibility to handle our various versions. The community members who contributed texture, sound, and other material which helped shape the E-Jets as they are today. Our pilot and maintenance team, contributing countless pieces of reference material. And everyone who had a hand in developing the E-Jets we know and love today.
What’s new?
We’ve added a few smaller things, but this update is primarily stability improvements. Hoppie CPDLC was also added.
How do I install?
For everyone who already has the E-Jets, please perform a full and complete fresh installation by removing your WASM folder. FS2020 locations are available through the FSS Documentation Hub. FS2024 location is: (game install directory)\LocalState\WASM\(MSFS 2020 folder)
What’s next?
As we’ve stated before, our immediate next priority is fixing any issues which immediately pop up with v1.0.0. Longer term, we will continue work on the MSFS 2024-native version of the E-Jets (which will be a free update for all customers), in addition to our other projects. Development for FS2020 will end at this time.
For new customers:
The price of the E-Jets has increased. You can purchase via any of our existing storefronts and install via the Contrail App or Aerosoft One. We do not suggest purchasing through the Marketplace, as this will come with prolonged update delays and reduced flexibility. If you purchase via the Marketplace, you will not be able to install using one of our standard installers, and you will not get access to the FS2024 Experimental version. If at all possible, please purchase through one of our third-party partner stores.
And that’s a wrap! Thank you again for your support these past years. We hope to be able to bring you more new and high-quality products for years to come.
Tailwinds, blue skies, and happy flying!
Thanks,
Iqbal, Uray, Jan, Putra, Dadang, Yudi, Mariusz, Andreas, and others
