I think I must be missing something here. I’ve used fs.to for around 18 months. I’m not a content maker I use it purely for downloading various addons that I choose which will enhance my simming experience. Some I have paid for some are free. I know advertising is annoying but it gets revenue that enables the host to keep going.
Look at to for instance. We pay to watch and still get adds. Why? Because it’s expensive to keep running.
Free content is free for goodness sake. Watch an ad download the gizmo and get on with life.
The guys who make the additional content either free or pay ware have my full respect but let’s be honest if it wasn’t for slick hosting sites who DO have costs it would end up like it did with the old flight sims. Lots of different sites offering lots of different bits and pieces some very good but a lot of it very bad and of course open to to all manner of download nasties.
Yes fs.to do need to get it right with the creators but life tends to work better if it works both ways.
