FlyByWire’s A320 will be added to the marketplace tomorrow. I’m certainly planning on picking that one up. A long time ago I watched some tutorials on the default 320. But from what I understand this one will almost be an entirely different beast from the default A320. What are the best tutorial videos to learn this aircraft, I mean the FlyByWire version of it?
You haven’t been flying it yet?
I would recommend 320 Sim Pilot:
Amongste others, he uploaded many tutorial videos on how to fly the A32NX.
We also have some tutorials, but they’re not complete yet:
Nope, I have always been worried about putting stuff in the community folder, since I hear so many horror stories about msfs 2020 updates getting messed up by unofficial mods in the community folder. So, I’ve been waiting for it to become official and be available on the marketplace.
Well those horror stories are most likely because the official update is messing up the unofficial mods and not the other way around. But to alleviate and debunks the myth surrounding the community folder is that it’s very fluid.
You put mods in, the sim will load it, if it causes problems, just remove it from the community folder, and you’ll be back to normal. But the problems don’t cause permanent damage into the sim since the mods in community folder don’t change any of the default official files. If you are getting issues with the sim, it’s most likely an issue with the mod itself.
That being said, I do make a habit of moving my community mod somewhere, then install the update patch, and once done, I move the folders back in, it’s a simple cut and paste process and I never have any real issues.
But I do understand your hesitancy though. I think I have about 100 folders in my community folder now, with a lot of payware airports and freeware liveries and the A32NX mod itself. But I agree with Watsi’s post above, these two YouTube channels are the go to place to learn about the aircraft.
A simple search on youtube will do the trick, although its best to filter by date because of all the updates it got already.
Didn’t want to start a new thread for this temporary question: I can’t find the FBW A320 on the marketplace. Has it not yet been published, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Not published yet, but the day is not over yet.
I wonder which version of the A32NX is going to be released in the marketplace? Probably 0.6.1 I guess, seeing the marketplace is notorious for the difficulty in rolling out updates due to all the validation and DRM process that it needs to go through before it’s available.
Since the development version gets updated daily, I find it less likely to be that one being released in the marketplace.
Yepp. 0.6.1 stable version.
Still no FBW A320 in the marketplace, correct? Is it time to panic?
As would I. However, 320 Sim Pilot flies the bleeding edge versions, so anyone flying the Marketplace version would need to be aware that they will be flying a different airplane. The Marketplace version will be the latest stable version, which while “stable,” is generally long out of date when it comes to features. I think there is a bit of a naming problem. There is nothing unstable about the developer build (which is the equivalent of the build formerly known as “experimental”). If you install A32NX from the Marketplace, it just means you will spend months missing out on great new features. Meanwhile, as most of us running the developer build can attest, latest actually is greatest.
