I believe the OP can make his point without any need for others to say his opinion is “ridiculous”.
I do not agree with his point of view though, the A380 is probably the plane I would love to see the most in the sim, it is a plane that will still be in the skies for at least a few decades more, and it is extremely modern compared to most planes nowadays, the only reason it is being discontinued is because its fuel efficiency and its large capacity (it is difficult to run any route at 100% everyday with that many seats).
The A350 might be the future, but the A380 is the present.
Ohh this looks amazing, can’t wait to fly this baby… I’m just a bit sad that the A380plus never made it to production irl. Because that would look awesome in MSFS…
I would bet on Q1 2022 for an alpha, maybe beta. These guys are professionals, they are not rushing it, and I love it, but the work seems to be advancing at a pretty good pace, and from what I have read they have been able to re-use a big chunck of the programming they used for the a320 (that is some good programming).
I don’t think FBW publishes release dates until the very last minute. Justifiably so as it is an open source community project run by volunteers and provided for free.
This is the latest info from yesterday (search for A380).
That is still some good information @Iceman2152798 thanks for the heads up!
Before the end of the year we will have the 737 and, likely, the 777 from PMDG, which would make too much to swallow at once if we also had the 380.
I would expect it for the end of 2022 beginning of 2023 if I were to speculate @WavyLake1703361
I’ve been a bit crazy with work but assuming PMDG hasn’t made any announcement yet on their forums or FB re: their 737? I think it’s going to be shown sometime in September?
