FlyByWire announce A380

Yeah, it is a beauty queen and it is one I have flown the most, why? it is a money machine in FSAirlines - a virtual platform for flight sims. I hired it for some time and got my own. It is just a pity that the freeware for XP doesn’t have a nice cockpit although it flies pretty well and reliable. Unfortunately, I got the payware too, which was personally a huge disappointment and I felt bad not paying a dime for the freeware because it deserves much more than the payware. Hopefully, FlyByWire will give us something gorgeous so I can fully enjoy my long hauls in FSAirlines.

My only reason for sticking with MSFS is Fly By Wire

They have real pilots with access to manuals etc. They’ll get enough realism into it. It’s amazing what crowdsourcing can come up with.

However, they are not legally allowed to use anything from real manuals without consent from Airbus or related parties. If it gets too close to the real thing they could get in trouble.

Of course, I want the best for the project. If they think they can pull it off and avoid legal issues all power to them.

Will this be available on the MSFS Marketplace to Download?

No on flybywire site

Has it been dropped? The repo has disappeared on GitHub and no mention on their website.

Private repo instead of public?

I remember they said it’s going to be a payware

A350 would of been more intriguing, or 321LR. A380 is not something I’m interested in, but I’m glad to see this community driven project take flight. There literally is no other alternative.

No it was a public repo, might be private now.

Also it is freeware, see their Facebook post on 6th November.

I think I was confused by another product that FWB team is going to launch as a payware aircraft.

I would think they just made it private for some reason.

Really longing for it. As the A32NX autopilot works so flawlessly and that when I tried the 747-8 in game it always have a tendency to steep climb or descend even if I switch off all autopilot buttons (once pressed the LNAV or VNAV buttons even if I press again they don’t go away…), I am longing for the A380 to work with the plane being stable and no weird auto ascend or descend…

Personally I really love these giants in the sky but hate the bugs in the default game. and the A380 looks very sexy in my book

It’s open source so they don’t have any timelines.

Thank you, the whole team is great. I’m just someone, who enjoys beiing a little part of it.
