I’m happy to share the release of Dead Reckoning Sims latest scenery project: a detailed flying boat base designed for MSFS 2024.
Included are 5 ports, Port Washington in New York, Shediac and Botwood in Canada, Foynes in Ireland and Hythe in England.
This package recreates a classic-era coastal operations site, featuring period-accurate structures, water operations areas, and atmosphere inspired by early transoceanic and coastal aviation. It’s built to support both static exploration and operational flying boat activity, with attention to layout, scale, and immersion.
The focus was on capturing the feel of a working seaplane base rather than a modern airport — calm waters, functional dock space, and simple but authentic infrastructure suited to the era.
This has been a fun project to develop, and I hope it adds something unique to your flying experience, especially if you enjoy historic aviation or coastal operations.
