I’m curious as to how to use the Airbus A320neo by FBW with custom weather? It may be quite a niche topic but I want to fly in the snow and as I’m not a full on simmer I often do auto landings. However, when I go to fill out the approach page and destination information I have no idea what weather data to put in. I don’t think I should put the real weather data as it won’t be correct to the custom weather? If anyone could help I’d greatly appreciate it ![]()
If you’re setting your own weather, you’ll want to enter everything that is showing on your sim’s weather menu. Some aircraft take in-sim weather for their EFBs and some use real world weather and I’m not sure what the FBW uses off the top of my head.
The weather menu in the toolbar should show you the wind direction, pressure, and temperature. That should be all you need besides the runway information.
Edit: if for some reason it doesn’t show the current weather conditions, you can also just tune into your airfield’s ATIS frequency if you want to be a bit more realistic.
Interesting thanks! Although, I have no idea how to read the in-sims temperature number as I have no idea what MSL / ISA + 10F means lol
I never used custom weather. Always fly with live weather. So I’m actually no expert on this. But I can tell you, that you can switch the settings of the weather source in the EFB to MSFS weather. Which should be the weather current in MSFS (and it should be your custom weather). So you can read the weather from the EFB main page and fill in the MCDU.

Thank you so much! I usually only fly with live weather too but I create cinematics on YouTube (albeit pretty poor quality) and I’d love a few snow videos etc but at this time of year it’s quite limited as to where I can do that
