Trying to fly several times excluding Bing data, no CTD at all. Of course this is not the desidered solution, but working fine up to the moment the complete Data options will be set to on - thinking that there’s an issue at MSFS server -.
This is just a feedback for the benefit of other users.
Fulvio
I can confirm this.
Switched on Bing for testing yesterday - ctd
I’m running the latest version of Windows and I’m still getting the ntdll.dll crash.
I may try switching off online data altogether later today and see what happens.
I am able to fly in certain areas of the world like the UK. Other areas like certain places in germany for example, will not even load.
Have you followed the recommendations in the pinned header at the top of the page?
How can I find the type of error when m u MSFS CTD in the middle of the flight with no message? Where can I find the error message after the CTD?
I did.
I even got an update for Microsoft Defender after my first comment, restarted my computer and still experienced CTDs.
It seems like the only way I can stop CTDs from happening is by turning off the online functionality altogether.
It’s so gross without the PG every city looks like Toronto, no offence to Toronto it just has that created by AI FSX look.
I’ve done turning online data off and the sim CTD’s all the time. It has to be something gone wrong with a windows update. Someone in the Forum believes it is related to a .NET Framework issue.
Hi, I’ve never faced a CTD after turning off the Online data - Photogrammetry onl, actually -. I think there are too many variabeles in each of our machines to set a rule of behavior.
I just got something called Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8. Let’s see if that fixes the issue… I’ll do some tests and post the outcomes of it later today.
Hi Luca, great! Thanks for trying

I’ve done a few flights in the past couple of days (all online services on) and there’s been no more CTDs for me. Everything seems to works fine now after the update.
Hi Lucas, which update are your referring about? The Framework ones in your previous post? My Windows updates automatically.
Fulvio
Yes. I was referring to the Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 I mentioned in my previous post.
Hi Luca, I just took a look at my Security/Updates page, and since I’ve all automatically updated, I saw a “no action necessary”; BTW, I yesterday flew with all data ON, and no CTD.
I looked at the updates, and the Cumulative Framework you were writing about, has been already been updated automatically
